About Turkish draughts

You play Turkish draughts, a distinct variant where pieces move and capture horizontally and vertically instead of diagonally. Each player starts with 16 checkers arranged across the second and third rows of an 8×8 board. Regular pieces slide one square forward or sideways; when promoted to kings they gain full multi-square movement along ranks and files. Captures are mandatory, and you must take the maximum number of pieces available in a turn.
