In Screwloose Cats: Tail Rescue you free trapped cats by dismantling the carriers that hold them. Dogs have bolted layers of boards and metal plates over each cage, and your job is to pull out every fastener in the right order. Tap any exposed bolt to drop it into your tray at the bottom of the screen; when two bolts of the same color land side by side they vanish instantly. Clear all the hardware and every board tumbles away, releasing the cat inside.

The challenge lies in sequencing your moves so the tray never fills completely—if all slots are occupied and no matches remain, you lose the level. Later puzzles stack more layers and hide bolts behind overlapping plates, forcing you to think several steps ahead. Boosters and optional extra tray slots help when you paint yourself into a corner, and a final endless mode lets you trap the villain behind his own boards.
