You control a colored square on a blank map in PaperWar.io, claiming territory by moving across uncaptured space and closing loops back to your home area. Your goal is to paint as much of the map as possible—ideally reaching 100 percent—while defending your turf from rival players who are doing the same. The catch is that your trail is vulnerable while you're outside your zone; if an opponent crosses it before you return, you're eliminated.

What keeps the tension high on Poki Games is the constant risk-reward trade-off: grabbing large chunks of land means longer, riskier excursions. A speed boost helps you dart back to safety or chase down an enemy's exposed tail, but timing it badly can leave you stranded. Nine skins let you customize your square's appearance as you climb the leaderboard.
